leader of the revolt of the Armeniens against the Arabs in 774-775. Arabic sources name leader as Musha'il al-Armani (Moushegh the Armenien). Armenien troops were overrun at Bagrvand (Mamikonian territory) in Sept/Oct 775, and the Mamikonian never raised themselves of this blow; the date marks the end of their importance in Armenia.
