of age to act as executor of father's will in 1521 [Ref: Sheppard WATSON p22]

1528: appears on the Rental Roll with one of the largest rentals in the Manor. Held "a messuage late in the tenure of William Sotheron, a flatt called Moreflatt a close clled Dawburding" paying a yearly rental of 34s 8d. [Ref: Sheppard WATSON p22]

1538: appears on the muster roll for Harthill Wapentake, as an archer with "bowe and arrows." [Ref: Sheppard WATSON p22]

will dated Jul 5 1568, proved Aug 31 1568.
