by Mar 7 1642/3: sold to Nathaniel Sparrowhawke twenty acres of land on
the south side of Charles River, ten acres in the lower division and ten
acres in the upper division [Ref: Anderson GreatMigrationII v2p233]
1645: in the right of "Old Crosby" six acres were laid out in the granted
land beyond five miles. To "the widow Crosbey's house was granted twelve
acres to be multiplied as the other, and to her other house three acres &
half". In the settlement of the fence against the neck, Ann Crosby's

Sep 22 1645: "the elders and deacons of the church of Cambridge agree with An
Crosby widow for her (then) 3 sons to have yielded them for portions of their
father;'s estate as followeth, namely, to Thomas Crosby the eldest 70 pounds,
to Simon 50 pounds, to Joseph 50 pounds, to be paid them at their ages of 20
years... The parents are to hold the children's maintenance receiving the
profits towards the same... I Ann Crosby do hereto agree and confirm it by
putting to my hand the 21 of the 7th month 1645. [Ref: Anderson

undated petition "Anne Thompson late the wife of Symojn Crosbie ...
humbly craves the favor of the Court to pardon her ignorace & excuse the
penalty for not proving her deceased husband's will in due season. 2ly. That
the Honored Court will please to grant unto her the administration of the
goods & chattels of her deceased husband Symon Crosbie. 3ly. That you will be
pleased to confirm the portions of the children, according as they were agreed
by the Reverend Mr Shepheard & elders & deacons of Cambridge, or so far forth
as the Court shall think meet. Lastly that she may have power, or whomsoever
she shall appoint, to make sale of the house & and of her late husband" The
