Research Notes:
noted as "fille" d'Artabazos (Strab.), trans unclear [Ref: Settipani LGA p139]
Winter 324 BC: Alexander the Great organized the marriage of his generals
with the noblest young Persian girls. Of these unions, only the one of
Seleukos and Apama daughter of Spitamenes survived. [Ref: Settipani LGA p130]
that she was honored as queen, and gave birth to the heir of the throne, was
extraordinary honor for a foreigner of the overcome race, and attests a royal
origin [Ref: Settipani LGA p130]

city of Apameia, without doubt a personal possession of the daughter of
Spitamenes, was called previously Pharnake, which indicates a link
between Apama and Pharnacides [Ref: Settipani LGA p138]
Stabon said precisely that Apama, spouse of Seleukos, was the daughter of
Artabazos. That is evidently false, but Strabon is generally well regarded
(he had written a work on Alexander), and the better way to explain his error
seems to be that Apama was "issue" or "family" of Artabazos [Ref: Settipani
LGA p138]
