Research Notes:
Origin is not reported by the ancients. There are four indications that she belonged to the family of the Antigonides of Macedonia. 1) Elder son of Seleukos IV has name Demetrios, a dynastic name of Antigonides, previously totally ignored by the Seleucides. (2) A son of Demetrios has the Antigonide name (3) Demetrios broke with the numismatic tradition of the Sleucides by changing the back of the coins to a motif of Tyche of city of Antigoneia, founded by Antigonos I, the ancestor of the Antigonides of Macedonia, and (4) that Andriskos, pseudo-pretendant Antigonide to the throne of Macedonia, argued of his relationship with Seleucides.
