served in Revolutionary War, Sergeant, Capt Ebenezer Colby's company of Minute-men, Col Johnson's regiment, which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775, to Cambridge. service six days [Ref: Holman PILLSBURY p503]

received a gift of land in Nottingham West (Hudson) NH, but never lived there [Ref: Holman PILLSBURY p503]

Oct 1796: the East Parish of Haverhill called Rev Isaac Thompson to serve them, but some question being raised as to whether it was a properly organised parish, a meeting of the people was held on 11 Jan 1797. In the minutes of this meeting is found "Therefore impressed with the solemnity of the transaction and conceiving ourselves duly authorized, we do constitute and declare Elias Johnson, Ephraim Eliot, Joseph Greeley and Samuel Woodward a regular church of our Lord Jesus Christ" [Ref: Holman PILLSBURY p503]
