1709: possibly the Hans Jacob Landis who was living at Immelhauserhof, Baden, Germany [Ref: Davis Emigrants v3p227]

lived at Steinsfurt on Apr 3 1717 [Ref: Wilcox LANDIS p15]

1717: immigrated to Lancaster County [Ref: Davis Emigrants v3p227]

1718: first taxed in Lampeter Twp, next to Benjamin Witmer and near Felix Landis [Ref: Davis Emigrants v3p227]

bought 150 acres with UlrichHowry in Lampeter Twp and Jacob took the south half; sold the 75 acres to Andrew Schultz in mar 1722 [Ref: Davis Emigrants v3p227]

1724: taxed as jacob Landis and son (son probably Hans Landis 81696-1756) who was the only other married Landis living there at that time [Ref: Davis Emigrants v3p227]

Feb 2 1730: inventory of estate filed at Lancaster and included 100 acres of land (which was patented by his son, Benjamin) [Ref: Davis Emigrants v3p227]

deed WW-126 shows that Jacob Landis died intestate leaving 200 acres near Conestoga or Strasburg, which he acquired from Tobias Collet and others in 1722, to his heirs and issue: Benjamin Landis, Barbara wife of Theodorus Buckwalter, and Anna Tinkey (deceased) late the wife of Christian Musser (deceased) [Ref: Recker PeopleMarsh III#2p3]
