Martin A Danley Dies at his home in East Finley Township after a short illness - Other members of family are ill
Martin A Danley, aged 53 years, one of the most prominent and highly respected of this section of the county died at his home in East Finley Township, last night. Typhoid fever was the cause. The death of Mr. Danley is peculiarly sad because of the afflictions of the Danley family. Several members are ill at present.
In the case of one daughter, Miss Myrtle Danley, who is ill of Typhoid recovery is not expected. Addison Danley has beenill of the same disease for the past five weeks. He is convalescent. Mrs. Danley is suffering from an attack of tonsillitis but is recovering. Four daughters and two sons survive besides the wife: Mrs. William Martin, of Eighty-Four; Mrs. Walter Ealy, of East Finley; Misses Myrtle and Naomi and Addison and John at home.
M. A. Danley was the son of Martin and Katherine Danley. His only brother was killed five years ago by being struck by lightning. One sister, Mrs. James Milligan, of Dogwood Grove survives.
The funeral will be held at the late home Monday at 1 o'clock and interment will be in the Dogwood Cemetery. Mr. Danley was born near the present Danley farm. He was a regular attendant of the Dogwood Grove Church. [Ref: Carol Loar 6/1/2002]
