Will of Rachel Collins
Registered 14 Apr 1838, George LeFerre, Reg.
In the name of God Amen. I Rachel Collins of North Shenango County of
Crawford and state of Pennsylvania being sick and weak of body but of sound
mind and memory and understanding (praised be God for it) and considering the
certainty of death and the uncertainty of time and to the end I may be better
prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me hence I
therefore make and declare this my last will and testament in manner
following, that is to say, first and principally I commend my soul into the
hands of Almighty God my creator hoping for free pardon and remission of all
my sins and to enjoy everlasting peace in the heavenly kingdom through Jesus
Christ my savior, my body I submit to the earth at the discretion of my
executors hereafter named
and as to my property after my debts and funeral expences is paid I will and
bequest unto my grand daughter Abby Price the following property, viz, one
beaun(?) and one five gallon pot and one small spinning wheel and one shovel
and bed and bedding,
and as to my grand daughter Margaret Price I give and bequest unto her one
feather bed and bedding one new blue coverlet, to five puter plates and one
puter platter, one two gallon pot and bake iron
and to my grand son Jacob Stinson Price I will and bequest the following
property that is to say one eighteen gallon kit one cow and two heifers and
four hogs. N.B. the six sheep is to be divided equally between my
abovementioned grand daughters by my executors and what money I have coming to
me at J.P. Davis, Esq, Meadville, and the share of money due me in Mifflin
County, Pa, and whatever my share of the land that is sold in Fayette County
is I want of all these sums of money two thirds to bequest to Jacob Stinson
Price, and the other third to be divided equally between the above mentioned
grand daughters,
and the money in the lawyers hands to be divided as above mentioned and
whatever is my share of the land Elijah Collins lives on I want two thirds of
the land to go to Jacob Stinson Price and the other third to be divided
between Abbey and Margaret Price, my grand daughters as above mentioned.
I also bequest to Abbey Price, as above mentioned one falling leaf table and
to Margaret Price my other grand daughter one looking glass and one trammel,
my papers at esq Cones State of Ohio I wish my executors to look to the
executors whome I now name are Peter Free and Elijah Collins whose duty it
shall be to keep the above mentioned property in their hands until the above
mentioned children shall come of age.
In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand this ninth day of April A.D.
eighteen hundred and thirty two. Rachel Collins.

as witnesses, being duly sworn, depose and say that they saw Rachel Collins
sign the same by her mark, that she acknowledged the same to be her last will
and testament and at her request signed as witnesses, and at that time the
said Rachel was of sound and disposing mind and memory. Andrew Downey, Wm
