Obituary appeared in the Ottawa Free Trader: Alden C. Barber Dies AT Home IN OKLAHOMA
Alden C. Barber son of Mr. and Mrs. John Barber, of this city, died at 4:30 yesterday morning at his home in Oklahoma. His death was due to influenza and pneumonia. Mr. Barber was born September 16, 1872 in Marseilles. He is survived by his wife and seven children, besides his parents and seven brothers and sisters. The funeral arrangements have not been completed. [Ref: Ray Brodbeck 7/29/2008]
