Obituary appeared in the Peoria Transcript: Edward Brodbeck 76 0f 419 Missouri Avenue, a Peoria resident for 70 years, died at 2:47 P.M. Friday at St. Francis Hospital. Mr. Brodbeck formerly was associated with the Brodbeck-Lawler Produce Company for many years and for the last six years had been with his son T. Ray Brodbeck, in the City Delivery Service.
He was born at Rome May 4, 1874, as son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brodbeck and married Katherine Lawler in Peoria November 24, 1898. Mr. Brodbeck was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic; Church.
Surviving are his wife; his son, T. Ray Brodbeck of Peoria; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph H. Lammers of St. Louis Mo. ; four grandchildren, and on brother, John Brodbeck of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Boland Mortuary. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. [Ref: Ray Brodbeck 7/29/2008]
