Obituary appeared in Peoria Transcript: Mrs. Brodbeck., Longtime Church Member, 81, Dies
Mrs Catherine Brodbeck, 81, former resident of 419 Missouria Ave., died here Wednesday morning. She was born at Albany, NY, February 11, 1878, a daughter of Thomas F. and Mary Ellen White Lawler Sr. and was married to Edward Brodbeck, who died here September 8, 1950. Mrs Brodbeck had been a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church since it was established after the turn of the century.
Surviving are one son, Thomas R. Brodbeck of Peoria; one daughter, Mrs. Marian Lammers of Columbia, SC; one sister Mrs. Mary Cappel of Kankakee; four brothers, Thomas F. Lawler Jr. and Edward M. Lawler, both of Springfield, and Frank B. Lawler and William J. Lawler, both of Peoria, four grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Three brothers preceded her in death.
