Obituary appeared in the Peoria Transcript:
Joseph Lammers, 86 of Columbia, SC, formerly of Peoria died Sunday, November 3, 1991 at Providence Hospital in Columbia. Born Jan. 15, 1905 in Peoria to Henry Joseph and Mary Prenger Lammers, he married Miriam Brodbeck. She preceded him in death as did one brother and two sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Sister Barbara Lammers of Columbia SC and Mary Ellen Williamson of Basking Ridge, NJ; two sisters, Lucille Klein and Frances Amberg, both of Peoria; and four grandchildren.
He graduated from Bradley University and was a salesman for Liquor Sales Wholesale Company in Columbia. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a volunteer at Providence Hospital.
Cremation rites have been accorded and memorial services will be at 5:30 tonight at his church. Memorials may be made to Providence Hospital Foundation, Columbia SC 29202. [Ref: Ray Brodbeck 7/29/2008]
