May 26 1749, Filed. We the subscribers, the widow Elizabeth Skinner, Joseph Skinner, Stephen Skinner, Dorothy Skinner, alias Oscott, George Olcott, husband to the said Dorothy, Hannah Skinner, and Rebecca Skinner, heirs to the estate of Mr. Joseph Skinner, late of Hartford, dec'd in the County of Hartford, do hereby mutually agree to divide the estate to and amongst ourselves in the following manner and forms: First we agree to our honored mother, Elizabeth Skinner shall have for her use, to improve during her natural life, one-third part of all the buildings and lands and appurtenances of the said Joseph Skinner dec'd, as her right of dowery in said estate, and the several particulars in moveable hereafter set to her to be her own to dispose of forever. .....
