In the name of god ame. The xix daye of februare in the yeare off owr lord god MCCCCC threescore & sxy I John Lomesse off thaxated in ye Cowntey off Essex Carpenter beying off pfecte & hole off mynde thanke be gevyn to allmyghty god, do make thys my last wyil & testament in manner & forme, foloying that ya to saye, Fyrst I bequeve my sowle into the hands of allmyghty god my maker & redemer & my body to be buryed in the churche yard off thaxted aforesayed. Item I geve unto the proemes box there iiij. Item I geve & bequeth unto krystyne my wyfe my howse with a garden plotte ther unto belonging duryng her naturall lyfe and after her decese, I will the sayd howse wthry garden to be solde & eualli to be devyded amonge all my chyldren & yff any off the dye I wyll that pey wch shall remayn to haue yt a monge them. Item I geve unto my wyfe all my dett & movablys whatsoever they be out off the weh I wyll she shall paye to every on off my chyldren xiijs iiijd in fyve years behynnyg at the eldest fryst & so forthe unto ye last. Itm I geve unto Krysten my wife all my other goods not bequeathed to paye my detts wt & to brynge my body in to ye erthe whom also I ordayne & make myn Executryx wth Robert almon ye elder, and I wyll that he shall haue for hys paynes vjs viijd.
