some sources attribute Vardan a son, Magnos, that governed for 20 years about 487. However, this is probably a double of Vahan the Great (Magnus) nephew of Vardan [Ref: Settipani LGA p39]

left behind daughters, one of whom was the celebrated Saint Shoushanik [Ref: Settipani LGA p39]
