Research Notes:
LOIS G. WILSON Lois G. Wilson 92 of Rapid City died Sunday, August 25, 2002 at Pine Haven Heritage Home of Rapid City. Lois was born September 7, 1909 in Rockerville, SD to Ralph Merton & Clara G. (Anderson) Peabody. She married Glenn Wilson June 24, 1934 in Rockerville. Together they own and operated Wilson Feed & Implement in Rapid City. She was a member and a Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, President of WSCS, President of Green Thumb Garden Club, member of Fortnitely, active in local chapter of BHARC, and active in PTA. Survivors include daughters; Georgia A. & husband David A. Hanson of Denver, CO, Mary Lois Wilson of Rapid City, sons; Alden "Al" Peabody & wife Gillian Wilson of Ipswich, Egland, Nathan Robert & wife LuAnne Wilson of Clackamus, OR, Peary Allen & wife Eileen Wilson of Rapid City, Joseph Glenn & wife Caroline Wilson of Forsyth, MT, Andrew David & wife Marcia Wilson of Bowie, MD, twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by; husband, parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, 2002 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2002 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Diehl officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City. Memorials have been established to Pine Haven Heritage Home, Black Hill's Association of Retarded Citizens, and First United Methodist Church of Rapid City. [Ref: Erik Hanson 2/16/2009]
