Research Notes:
This Bible and the included list that follows are in the possession of Russell M. Reid. The following is a list of marriages, births and deaths of John A.R. Shannon's family on a piece of old lined paper found in the family bible of Thomas Reid and his wife Elizabeth Shannon (daughter of John Shannon). All of the entries are in the same handwriting and, except for the last entry, the death of John R. Shannon which is in pencil, seem to have been made at one time. This would place the list between 1880 and 1987, probably by Elizabeth Shannon Reid.
The list is as follows: Marriage's Birth's and Death's of John Shannon's family John Shannon and Elizabeth McCampbell were married January, 4, 1838. John Shannon was born April, 2, 1808. Elizabeth Shannon was born February, 7, 1816.
