Joan le Latimer, widow of Alexander Comyn, of Buchan (and mother of Alice Comyn, wife of Henry de Beaumont) returned to England following her husband's death which took place sometime before Easter, 1309. She was assigned to live on a couple manors in Yorkshire and regularly appears in crown records until as late as 1 October 1340 [Reference: Calendar of Close Rolls, 1339-1341, published 1901, pg. 541]. Presumably she died soon afterwards. [Ref: Douglas Richardson SGM 11/12/1999]
