of lawful money of Pennsylvania in my hand paid by my Son Henry Reichelsderfer
Junior at or before the ensealing or delivery hereof, the receipt whereof I do
hereby acknowledge and thereof do acquit and forever discharge him the said
Henry Reichelsderffer his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns, Have and
by these Presents do grant bargain Sell alien Release transfer setover and
confirm unto him the said Henry Reichelsderffer Junior his Heirs and Assigns
All my Right Title use property claim and demand whatsoever of in to and out
of the within written Declaration of Trust or instrument of writing and the
land and property therein described mentioned and granted or intended so to be
with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Henry

This Indenture made the thirteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eleven Between Henry Reichelderfer of Albany
Township in the County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania Yeoman of the one
part and Michael Brobst of said Albany Township and County of Berks aforesaid
Yeoman of the other part, Whereas the said Michael Brobst and Magdalena his
wife by their Indenture duly executed for and under their hands and Seals
bearing well date herewith for the consideration therein mentioned granted and
conveyed one hundred acres and one hundred and forty six perches of land neat
measure unto the above named Henry Reicehlderfer and his Heirs and Assigns
forever with this exception and reservation, that is to say, he the said
Michael Brobst excepted and reserved for himself and his Heirs and Assigns
forever at(?) and from the above mentioned granted and sold tract of one
hundred acres and one hundred and forty five perches of land neat measure to
direct(?) the water on said land of Henry Reichelderfer for twenty six perches
as the same is particularly mentioned in the above mentioned Indenture. Now
this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Henry Reichelderfer for and in
consideration of the sum of six pounds lawful money of the State of
Pennsylvania to me well and truly paid by the said Michael Brobst at and
before the sealing and delivering hereof, the receipt whereof I do hereby
acknowledge, have granted bargained and sold and for the consideration
aforementioned do hereby grant bargain sell and release all that certain
hereafter mentioned Water right to keep in at the winding line between said
Henry Reichelderfer lands and said Miachael Brobst and by Indenture conveyed
this day by said Michael Brobst to said Henry Reichelderffer from the line
with wopesthe(?) Creek twenty six perches up the creek on the land of said
Henry Reichelderffer aforesaid reuse(?) on a roxeg(?) of a exiting(?) bank to
a stone for a corner to be in his dess(?) or Water Right and so raise and make
the said Dam complete hereafter as to track(?) the Waters as aforementioned to
the lands of the said Henry Reichelderfer twenty six perches tract(?) course
up the said creek to the stone aforementioned at a bend and water rights for
the use of said Forge with borenpars(?) these rights forever to
the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Michael Brobst his
Heirs and Assigns forever, clear of all incumbrances whatsoever of and
concerning the same. In Witness whereof the said Henry Reichelderfer has
hereunto set my hand and seal the thirteenth day of August in the year of our

The twenty eighth day of September one thousand eight hundred and twelve an
Agreement was made between Henrich Reichelderfer Elder and his son Henrich
Reichelderfer, botjh of Albany Township, Berks County and State of
Pennsylvania, testifying that said Henrich Reichelderfer the Elder is selling
a piece of land which lies and borders on land of Henrich Schmit and on Peter
Schwenk, Henrich Mueller and on Henrich Reichelderfer Elder, containing
twenty acres for the sum of forty pounds current money of Pennsylvania, to the
said son of his Henrich Reichelderfer to be paid in the following manner.
Namely seven pounds on the twenty seventh of November one thousand eight
hundred and thirteen, after that each year seven pounds until the above
mentioned sum is paid, for which Henrich Reichelderfer promises a valid deed
to be given for the land some time later, to be signed with his own hand, and
is to be as valid as if I had signed and delivered it myself in my name.
Furthermore, said Henrich Reichelderfer, Elder reserves the right to let the
water run wherever it will as is now the case. All this is to be in force and
to remain; we bind ourselves, both parties, and our heirs, executors, and
administrators and one to another, in the power of the law of Pennsylvania, to
keep the above mentioned Accord and to fulfill it. This we witness to with

A further agreement for one acre twenty perches of land adjoining the
aforesaid tract or piece of land and other land of the said Henry
Reicheldorfer Sen. at the same price per acre as the above price of land is
the Title to be made as in the above agreement by all contracts for this one
acre and twenty perches to be in the same manner and form as the above
agreement mentioned for the above piece of land for the true performance we do
bind ourselves our heirs executors admiistrators and every of them, In
Witness whereof we have hereunto set out hands and seals this ... day of July
in the year of our one thousand eight hundred and twenty. [seals]
Henry Smith of Albany township in the County of Berks, being duly sworn
according to Law, doth say that the name Henry Smith, a witness to the within
Articles of agreement of his own handwriting that the desponant was present at
the Execution thereof did see Henry Reichelderfer Sen and his son Henry
Reichelderfer therein named sign, seal, and deliver the same as their act and
deed, that the despondent was present and did at the same time write his name
thereto as a witness, and did aso see James Price the other sibsribing witness
sign his name thereto as such. Sworn in open Court the 9th day of April,

From Berks County Miscellaneous Book II, page 351:
The eighteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and fifteen an
Agreement was made between Henrich Reichelderfer of Albany Township, Berks
County and State of Pennsylvania, farmer, one the one side, and Johannes
Reichelderfer of the same Township as mentioned above, blacksmith of trade on
the other side. It was testified that said Henrich Reichelderfer has sold a
piece of land to said Johannes Reicheldoerfer for the sum of twenty pounds
cash money, which money I have already received for the land as before
mentioned, borderong on the Pine Creek, at the middle of the creek and
Johannes Reicheldoerfer containing one and one half acre and fifty rods.
Further it was agreed that Henrich Reichelderfer retains an open road to the
sawmill across said land as long as the sawmill stands or is in use from
Johannes Reicheldoerfer or his heir or when he sells the land. Furthermore
said Heinrich Reicheldoerfer promises and empowers herewith his heir, executor
or administrators in case of death, as may happen, to write up/sign a deed for
said land because I have been paid, and everything should be in force and so
remain. We bind/oblige ourselves and parties; our heirs, executors,
administrators and each to the other person, by the power of the las of
Pennsylvania, to observe the above-mentioned writ and to fulfill it. This we
witness to with our hands and seals on the day and date above mentioned.

Reichelderfer of the Township of Albany County of Berks and State of
Pennsylvania of the one part and George Reagan of the same place of the other
part as follows to wit. the Said Henry Reichelderfer for the consideration
hereinafter mentioned doth for himelf his heirs exeucutor and administrators
covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said George Reagan his heirs
and assigns by good and lawful deed or deeds well and sufficiently grant
convey and assure unto the said George Reagan his heirs and assigns in fee
simple clear of all encumbrances all that mesuage tract of parcel of land
lying and being in the Township County and State aforesaid, beginning at a
Chestnut corner of Jacob Ernst land thence to a slate rock on the North side
of pine creek, then up S.Creek by other land of the said Henry Reichelderfer
to a corner of John Reichelderfer thence along the lines of the same to Henry
Smith land thence along the line of the said Smith to a corner of the late
Henry Reicheldefer Jun thence along the line of the same so far up the creek
as to make fifteen acres by turning a line a right angles from a line between
said Reagan and said Reichelderfer thence along said line to a corner of Jacob
Earnst thence along the lines of said Earnst to the place of beginning in
which tract tracts or piece of land there is a sawmill erected the said Reagan
to have the water privelidge as the said Reichederfer had before he sold to
Henry Reichelderfer Jun as holds from said Henry Reichelderfer Jun and to have
all the tools belonging to said Sawmill. In cnsideration whereof the said
George Reagan for himself, his heirs executors and administrators doth
covenant promise and agree to and with the said Henry Reichelderfer his Heirs
and Assigns by these presents that he the said George Reagan his Heirs
Eecutors and Administrators of some of them shall and will on the Execution
and delivery of the said deed as aforesaid will well and truly pay or cause to
be paid unto the said Henry Reichelderfer his Eecutors Administrators of
Assigns the sum of Fifteen dollars per acre upon the first day of April next
the said Henry Reichelderfer to give the said Reagan peaceable possession to
make use of said samill. Immediately and for the true performance of all and
every the Covenants and agreements aforesaid each of the said parties bindeth
himself his heirs executors and administrators unto the other his Executors
Administrators and assigns in the Final sum of four hundred and fifty dollars
lawfyul money of the United States firmly by these presents. In witness

messuage Linmen and Tract of land lying and being in the Township County and
State aforesaid adjoining land of George Reagan, Jacob Earnst, John
Reichelderfer and David Baily, all that tract lying within those lands let is
be more or less. In consideration whereof the said Laurance Shutt for himself
his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant promise and agree to and
with the said Henry Reichelderfer his heirs and assigns by these presents that
he the said Laurance Shutt his heirs executors and administrators or some of
them shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid and done unto the said Henry
Reichelderfer his heirs executors administrators in the following maner to
wit, that during the natural life of the said Henry Reichelderfer that he the
said Laurance Shutt will provide or cause to be provided wearing appearal such
that is sufficient to keep him comfortable and warm and boarding, washing and
lodging such as necessary, and agreeable for the said Henry Reichelderfer and
to attend on him in sickness and in health what is necessary or that the said
Henry Reichelderfer reasonable requires and after the said Henry Reichelderfer
decease to give him a Christian Burial as is customary in the neighbourhood
and to erect or cause to be erected Marble head and feet stones at the graves
of the said Henry Reichelderfer and his wife Magdalena deceased the said
Laurance Shutt his heirs executors administrators or some of them to pay fifty
pounds as follows: twelve pounds ten shillings to be paid three years after
the decease of the said Henry Reichelderfer and twelve pounds ten shillings to
be paid annally until the whole is paid. And for the true performance of all
and every the covenants agreements afresaid each of the said parties bindeth
himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns unto the other his
executors administrators and assigns in the final sum of one thousand dollars
lawful money of the United States firmly by these presents. in witness
whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and

Will of Henry Reichelderfer:
In the name of the Holy Trinity, God the Father, and Son and the Holy
Ghost, Amen.
I Henry Reichelderfer, Albany Township, Berks County, State of Pennsylvania,
amd weak and ill in body but of sound mind and memory, thanks be given to God
who makes me understand the mortality of my body and know that it is ordained
for all human beings once to die, am making and ordering this my last Will and
Testament -- firstly and mainlyu I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty
God who has given it, and my body I command to be buried in the earth in a
seemly and Christian burial, according the good judgement of my executors, not
doubting but that in the general resurrection I shall again receive the same
through the mighty power of God. In so far as my worldly possessions are
concerned with which it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give and
bequeath of the same in the following manner and form-
Firstly I order my daughter Catharina's two children from ___ ___ to the big
chestnut tree ___ From there towards South to the other line, the land that is
within that area.
Secondly the children of my son Heinrich Reichelderfer shall get the land
from the chestnut ___ down to ___ line whatever lies in between. Further I
bequeath to the children of my son Heinrich Reichelderfer the money which my
son owed me for the land I sold him, including the interest.
Thirdly I give and order that my son Johannes shall receive 20 shillings.
Fourthly I give and order that two children of my daughter Elizabeth,
Rebecca and Salome, shall receive the balance in equal parts.
And I order the executor for this my last Will and Testament and I
acknowledge this and no other to be my last Will and Testament, in witness
whereof I have set my hand and seal this 3rd day of October 1823. Henrich

And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint Henry Smith and John Stirewalt
to be Execors of this my Will hereby revoking all other Wills Legacies and
bequests by me heretofore made and do declaring this and no others to be my
