when married resided in New Preston, CT; Sullivan Twp, Tioga Co, PA [Ref: Moore AUSTIN p49]

enlisted in the Revolutionary War in Dutchess Co, NY, and served as a private in Capt. Abraham Sworthouts Co, Col Peter Gansevoorts 3rd NY Regt until discharged Nov 25 1779. [Ref: Moore AUSTIN p50]

1790 listed in census as a resident of Otsego Twp, Montgomery Co, NY, which the following year became part of Otsego Co, NY. 1 son, 2 daughters [Ref: Moore AUSTIN p50]

1810 he and son Luther were residents of Oxford Twp, Chenango Co, NY [Ref: Moore AUSTIN p50]

1815 listed as taxable in Covington Twp, Tioga Co, PA. In 1816 Sullivan Twp was formed from Covington; in 1820 he was resident of Sullivan Twp [Ref: Moore AUSTIN p50]

He was allowed a pension to commense Feb 17 1824 at the rate of $8 per month. The last payment was mde to his lawyer in Philadelphia for Sep 1824-May 1825 payment [Ref: Moore AUSTIN p50]

Died while on a visit to son Luther at Hume, NY, and supposedly dropped dead at the dinner table at the hotel in Hume. [Ref: Moore AUSTIN p50]
