Research Notes:
accompanied father to New England when about 17 of age [Ref: Bartlett STONE p67]

1639: established himself in the new town of Sudbury [Ref: Bartlett STONE p67]

1646: sold all his Sudbury property to John MOORE, and moved to Otter Neck (which is now Framingham) without land title [Ref: Bartlett STONE p67]

May 15 1656: secured a deed from Indians for approx dozen acres, which was at once confirmed by the General Court which also granted him fifty acres additional [Ref: Bartlett STONE p67]

John Stone and his wife Anne were legatees in the wills of Edward Howe and his wife Margaret. The exact nature of the relationship remains a matter of discussion [Ref: Anderson GreatMigrationII v5p550]
