Research Notes:
BCH Herts iv, 30, followed by Lewis 'Jurors' p36, assumes the name Huard
(variant of Odard) was an error for Hugh, but the truth is more likely to
be the other way around, or that Hugh was a separate person whose fee was
inherited by or given to the Noyers family [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p307]
1086: Domesday tenant of Geoffrey de Mandeville in Hertfordshire [Ref:
Keats-Rohan DP p307]
1086: Domesday tenant of Geoffrey de Mandeville [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p617]
Domesday juror in the Broadwater Hundreds, Hertfordshire [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP
p307]
perhaps same as the Hugh who was Mandeville tenant of Barkway, Hertfordshire,
in 1086; the manor was held by the Noyers family in the 1140s [Ref:
Keats-Rohan DP p307]
