in the French genealogies, he is placed as fourth son of Count Henry, but this is disproved by chronological considerations, and by the express statement of the contemporary chronicler that Count Henry had only three sons [Ref: David Utzinger SGM 1/10/1999]

1086: Domesday tenant of the count of Eu in Sussex, and, in Huntingdonshire, of Eustache of Huntingdon and Ramsey Abbey [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p280]

a charter of Count Henry of Eu relating to his grandfather Robert's foundation of canons at St Mary's Hastings shows that Robert's Domesday tenant Ingelran was Ingelran of Eu, brother of Guy [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p463]

granted land at Wilting; Henry Count of Eu's recital and confirmation of his grandfather Robert's foundation of canons at St mary's, Hastings, includes reference to the grant of land at Wilting by Ingelran d'Eu, subsequently confirmed by Ingelran's brother Guy [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p280]
