1190s: his inheritance was disputed by Geoffrey II de Mandeville. The
problem was eventually resolved in 1205 when Henry joined the French and

1194: tenure of Marshwood questioned by Geoffrey de Mandeville, son of

1202: called upon to pay scutage on 14 3/4 knights' fees for Barony of
