OBITUARY: Watertown Public Opinion, Date Unknown
Mrs. McBath services to be on Wednesday
Mrs. Wilbur (Eunice) McBath, 74, 225 S. Broadway, died Sunday morning at her
home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Trinity Episcopal
Church with the Rev. Field Hobbs, rector, officiating. There will be a family
communion service in the church chapel at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be
in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday
and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Shaw-Messer Funeral Chapel.
The family prefers memorials to Mrs. McBath to be given to the Trinity
Episcopal Church.
Pallbearers will be Brian Stemwedel, Gene Bellatti, Zenos Hanson, Glen
Sears, James Smith and Donald Smith.
Mrs. McBath was born Nov. 21, 1901, in Watertown, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs.
Nicholas D. Lockie. She married Wilbur McBath at Watertown Oct. 26, 1921. Mrs.
McBath had lived in Watertown all her life. She attended the Watertown public
schools and the local school of commerce. Before her marriage, she was
employed at the Kreiser's Drug Store. She had been a lifelong member of the
Trinity Episcopal Church and was a member of the St. Margaret's Guild and the
Trinity Episcopal Alter Guild.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Maxine) Knutson
of Sioux Falls and Mrs. Eugene (Sue) Lindner of Littleton, Colo.; a sister
Mrs. James Smith of Sioux Falls; and five grandchildren. [Ref: Margot
