on St Theodore the Studite, then serving his third exile [Ref: Mango Byzantium

made a monk by Theophilus. In or about the year 837 Emperor Theophilus is said
to have had recourse to an Arab prophetess who foretold him that the
Martinakioi would occupy the throne for a long time, whereupon Theophilus
caused that same Martinakes who was a distant relative of his to become a monk
and to convert his house into a monastery [Ref: Mango Byzantium XV-21]
