To all People to whom these Presents shall come Jacob Musser of the Township
of Lampiter in the County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, yeoman,
Feronica Johns of the Township of Lampiter in the County of Lancaster
aforesaid, Widow, and Joseph Musser of Chillasquaque Township in the County of
Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania aforesaid yeoman (the said Jacob
Musser, Feronica Johns and Joseph Musser being three of the children of Peter
Musser late of the Township of Lampiter in the County of Lancaster aforesaid,
yeoman, deceased) Send Greeting. Whereas the said Peter Musser was in his
lifetime and at the time of his death lawfully seised in his Demesne as of fee
of and in a certain Plantation and Tract of Land situate in the Township of
Lampiter in the County of Lancaster aforesaid, bounded and described as
follows, to wit, Beginning at a post standing on the Eastern Bank of
Conestogoe Creek, and from thence extgending by land of Martin Musser South
eighty five degrees and one half of a degree East one hundred and twenty two
perches to a black oak, and South fifty degrees and one half of a degree East
forty two perches and one quarter of a perch to a stone, thence by Land of
Christian Hartman north thirty nine degrees and one half of a degree East
thirty seven perches and one half of a perch to a Stone, thence by land of
John Stauffer the three courses and Distances next following viz North fifty
degrees and one half of a degree West seventy three perches and one half of a
perch to a post, North seven degrees East eighty four perches to a stone, and
north fifty three degrees West sixty three perches to a white Oak standing on
the eastern Bank of Conestogoe Creek aforesaid, and thence down the said Creek
by the several courses thereof two hundred and fourteen perches to the Place
of Beginning, containing one hundred and thirty acres, Ninety acres thereof
being the Residue or Remainder unsold of a certain Tract of one hundred and
seventy three acres of land which Jacob Cooper, Samuel Shoemaker and Joshua
Howell attornies in Fact for the Trustees to the Proprietaries of a
Partnership called the Pennsylvania Land Company in London in and by their
certain Indenture bearing date the twenty fifth day of November in the year of
our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty one (recorded in the Office for
recording of Deeds in and for the County of Lancaster aforesaid in Book P,
Page 429 &c) for the consideration therein mentioned did grant and confirm
unto the said Peter Musser in his lifetime (by the name of Peter Mercer) and
to his Heirs and Assigns forever, And forty acres (Residue of the said
described Plantation and Tract of Land) being the same which John Whitmore and
Fronica his wife in and by their certain Indenture bearing date the Eighth day
of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty three
(recorded in the said Office for recording of Deeds in and for the County of
Lancaster in said Book P, Page 437 &c) for the consideration therein
mentioned, granted and confirmed unto the said Peter Musser in his lifetime
and to his Heirs and Assigns forever, And Whereas the said Peter Musser
deceased in and by his last Will and Testament dated the Eleventh day of July
in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and four (among other
things therein contained) did give and allow unto his wife Magdalena now his
Widow and Relict, sundry Privileges advantages and articles in upon and out of
the Plantation and Lands aforesaid for and during the Term of her natural
life, and further the Said Peter Musser deceased did in and by his said Last
Will and Testament give devise and bequeath unto his Son Henry Musser his
Heirs and assigns all his Plantation and Tract of Land whereon he the said
Testator then resided (being the Plantation and Tract of Land herein before
mentioned and described) situate in the Township of Lampiter in the County of
Lancaster aforesaid adjoining to Conestogoe Creek and bounded by the several
Lands of his Brother Martin Musser, Christian Stauffer and others, containing
about one hundred and thirty acres were the same more or less, with the
Buildings and Appurtenances thereon and thereto belonging, To hold to him his
said Son Henry Musser his Heirs and Assign forever under and Subject to the
Privileges and Liberties therein before given to his the said Testator"s Wife
Magdalena and to the Provision of the sundry necessaries for her during the
term of her natural life to be found provided and delivered by him or them to
her in Quantity and Quality as therein before mentioned and directed, and did
value and charge the same Premises to his said Son Henry at and for the Sum of
Two thousand Pounds in Specie of Gold or Silver coin current in Pennsylvania,
payable by Installments in manner and at the Days and times in the same Will
particularly specified directed and appointed, And the said Testator having in
and by his said last Will and Testament given a Pecuniary Legacy and sundry
specific Articles, did give devise and bequeath all the rest Residue and
Remainder of his Estate Real and Personal not therein before particularly
given devised or bequeathed (including the same Sum of Two Thousand Pounds the
valuation of the Plantation and Tract of Land therein before given and devised
unto his Said Son Henry) unto his four Children, to wit, the said Jacob
Musser, Feronica the widow of Christian Johns, deceased, Henry Musser and
Joseph Musser, Share and Share alike, as in and by the said recited last Will
and Testament since the said Testator's deceased duly proved and remaining in
the Registers Office at Lancaster, Reference thereto being had will more fully
and at large appear, Now Know Ye that the said Henry Musser hath well and
faithfully paid and made full Satisfaction to the said Jacob Musser, Feronica
Johns and Joseph Musser and each of them for their several and respective
Parts or Shares of and in the said Sum of Two thousand Pounds in Specie of
Gold and Silver coin current in Pennsylvania for which the said Plantation and
Tract of Land so as aforesaid given and devised to the said Henry Musser's
valued and charged in and by the last Will and Testament of the said Peter
Musser deceased, that is to say, He hath paid unto the said Jacob Musser the
Sum of five hundred pounds in Specie of Gold and Silver coin for his Share
thereof, He hath paid unto the said Feronica Johns the like Sum of five
hundred pounds in Specie of Gold and Silver coin for her Share thereof, and he
hath paid unto the said Joseph Musser the like Sum of five hundred pounds of
Specie of Gold and Silver coin for his Share thereof, In Consideration whereof
the said Jacob Musser for himself, his Heirs Executors and Administrators and
the said Feronica Johns for herself her Heirs Executors and Administrators,
and the said Joseph Musser for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators
Have and each of them hath remised released and forever quit claimed and by
these presents Do and each of them Doth remise release and for ever quit claim
unto the said Henry Musser his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns, All
and every the Parts Shares and Proportions of them the said Jacob Musser,
Feronica Johns and Joseph Musser of in to and out of the said Sum of Two
thousand Pounds the Valuation Money aforesaid, and all Actions Suits claims
and Demands whatsoever in any manner relating to or respecting the same and
every or any part thereof, So that the said Henry Musser his Heirs and Assigns
shall and lawfully may from time to time and at all times hereafter forever
peaceably and quietly have hold occupy possess and enjoy the said described
Plantation and Tract or Parcel of Land, so as aforesaid given and devised unto
him in and by the last Will and Testament of the said Peter Musser deceased
containing one hundred and thirty acres be the same more or less, with the
Appurtenances fully and absolutely acquitted and discharged of and from the
said Sum of Two thousand Pounds and every part thereof, Subject nevertheless
to and charged with all and every the Privileges articles Matters Duties and
Things which in and by the last Will an dTestament of the said Peter Musser
deceased are allowed and directed to be provided done and performed by the
said Henry Musser and his Heirs in upon and out of the Lands and Premises
aforesaid to and for the use Benefit and Advantage of the said Magdalena the
Widow and Relict of the said Peter Musser deceased during the term of her
natural life. In Witness whereof the said Jacob Musser, Feronica Johns and
Joseph Musser have hereunto set their Hands and Seals the third day of June in

This Indenture made the fifteenth day of December in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and nine Between John Landis of the Township of
Lampiter in the County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania yeoman and Ann
his wife Henry Landis of the said Township of Lampiter in the County of
Lancaster aforesaid yeoman and Mary his wife and Abraham Landis of the
Township of Lampiter aforesaid yeoman and Ann his wife of the one part, and
Jacob Musser, Henry Musser and John Landis all of the said Township of
Lampiter in the county of Lancaster aforesaid yeoman of the other part,
Witnesseth that the said John Landis and Ann his Wife Henry Landis and Mary
his wife and Abraham Landis and Ann his Wife for and in consideration of the
Sum of Three hundred Pounds lawful Money of Pennsylvania to them I hand well
and truly paid by the said Jacob Musser Henry Musser and John Landis at or
before the ensealing and Delivery of these Presents (the Receipt and Payment
whereof they the said John Landis and Ann his Wife, Henry Landis and Mary his
wife and Abraham Landis and Ann his wife and each of them do hereby
acknowledge and thereof do acquit release and discharge the said Jacob Musser
Henry Musser and John Landis their Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns
by these Presents, have and each and every of them hath granted bargained sold
aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these Presents do and each and
every of them doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto
the said Jacob Musser Henry Musser and John Landis their Heirs and Assigns all
that certain Piece or Parcel of land situate and being in the Township of
Drumore in the County of Lancaster aforesaid bounded and described as follows
to wit, Beginning at a marked white oak sapling and from thence extending by
other lands of the said Jacob Musser Henry Musser and John Landis north by
east sixty six perches to a marked Black Oak and north thirty degrees west
fifty perches to a poplar tree, thence west by south ten perches to a marked
black oak thence South by east fifty perches to a Black oak, thence South West
by south ten perches to a post thence south south west sixteen perches to a
white oak thence south by west twenty four perches to a

Southwestwardly sixty three perches, thence Eastwardly twelve perches, thence
northeastwardly thirty perches thence northwardly thirty eight perches along
the line of Landis late of James Patterson until it intersects a line drawn
west north west from the said Beginning white oak, containing by Estimation
Twenty five Acres and the usual allowance at the rate of six acres per cent
for Roads and Highways (be the same more or less) It being part of a larger
tract of Land containing One hundred and eighty seven Acres and forty perches
and the usual allowance which the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by patent under
the hand of John Cochran Esquire Secretary of the land Office of the said
Commonwealth and the Seal of the said Office bearing date the Twentieth day of
November Anno Domini 1809 for the Consideration therein mentioned did grant
and confirm unto the said John Landis Henry Landis and Abraham Landis (parties
hereto) their Heirs and Assigns for ever as by the said Patent enrolled in
patent Book H vol 2 page 60, reference thereto being had may appear, Together
with all and singular the Houses Outhouses Edifices and Buildings thereon
erected and being and all ways waters water courses woods underwoods Trees
Fences Meadows Hedges Ditches Orchards Gardens Liberties Privileges advantages
Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever threreunto belonging or in anywise
appertaining, And the reversions and Remainders Issues and profits thereof And
also all the Estate Right Title Interest use Trust Property Possession claim
Demand whatsoever of them the said John Landis and Ann his wife Henry Landis
and Mary his wife and Abraham Landis and Ann his wife and each and every of
them at law and in equity or otherwise howsoever of in to and out of the same
Piece or parcel of Land and Premises and every part thereof, To have and to
Hold the said described Piece or Parcel of Land containing by Estimation
Twenty five Acres and allowance as aforesaid (be the same more or less)
Hereditaments and Premises hereby granted and released (or mentioned or
intended so to be) with their Rights members and appurtenances unto the said
Jacob Musser Henry Musser and John Landis their Heirs and assigns To the only
proper use Benefit and Behoof of the said Jacob Musser Henry Musser and John
Landis their Heirs and assigns forever as Tenants in Common and not as joint
tenants, and under the yearly Quit Rent (if any) due for and issuing out of
the same Premises to the Lord or Lords of the fee thereof, And the said John
Landis Henry Landis and Abraham Landis for themselves their Heirs Executors
and Administrators do covenant promise and grant to and with the said Jacob
Musser Henry Musser and John Landis their Heirs and Assigns by these Presents
that they the said John Landis Henry Landis and Abraham Landis and their Heirs
the said described Piece or Parcel of Land hereditaments and Premises hereby
granted and released (or mentioned or intended so to be) with the
appurtenances unto the said Jacob Musser Henry Musser and John Landis their
Heirs and Assigns against them the said John Landis and the said Ann his wife
and his Heirs Henry Landis and the said Mary his Wife and his Heirs and
Abraham Landis and the said Ann his Wife and his Heirs and against all and
every other Person and Persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the
same or any part thereof by from or under them or any or either of them shall
and will warrant and forever Defend by these Presents. And further that they
the said John Landis and the said Ann his wife and his Heirs Henry Landis and
the said Mary his Wife and his Heirs and Abraham Landis and the said Ann his
wife and his Heirs and all and every other Person and Persons whomsoever now
having or lawfully claiming or hereafter to have or lawfully claim any Estate
Right Title or Interest whatsoever of in to or out of the said Piece or Parcel
of Land and Premises hereby granted or mentioned to be granted with the
appurtenances or any part thereof by from or under them or any or either of
them shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter upon the
request and at the proper costs and charges in the law of the said Jacob
Musser Henry Musser and John Landis their Heirs or assigns or either of them
make do execute and acknowledge or cause or procure to be made done executed
and acknowledged all and every such further and other lawful and reasonable
Act and Acts Deed and Deeds Device and Devices Conveyances and Assurances
whatsoever for the further better more sure perfect and absolute granting
conveying assuring and confirming the said described Piece or Parcel of Land
Hereditaments and Premises hereby granted and released (or mentioned or
intended so to be) with the Appurtenances unto the said Jacob Musser Henry
Musser and John Landis their Heirs and Assigns forever, as by them or either
of them or by their or either of their cousel learned in the law shall be
lawfully and reasonably advised or devised and required. In Witness whereof

This Indenture made the Tenth day of April in the Year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and nineteen Between Christian Hartman of the Township
of Lampeter in the County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania yeoman
Administrator of all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits
which were of Jacob Musser late of the said Township of Lampiter, yeoman,
deceased, of the one part, and Henry Musser of the Township County and State
aforesaid, yeoman, of the other part, Whereas the said Jacob Musser died
Intestate, seised in his Demesne as of fee (inter alia) of and in the one
undivided third part of a certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing about one
hundred and eight Acres situate in the Township of Drumore in the County of
Lancaster aforesaid with the Appurtenances leaving Issue Four Children all
Minors under the age of twenty one years, and Administration of all and
singular the goods and chattels rights and credits which were of the said
Jacob Musser at the time of his death was in due form of Law granted and
committed to the said Christian Hartman (party hereto), And Whereas at an
Orphans Court held at Lancaster in and for the County of Lancaster on the
eighteenth day of November last past, on the Petition of the said Christian
Hartman Administrator as aforesaid to the same Court, setting forth that at an
Orphans Court held at Lancaster on the sixteenth day of September last, he
made a Settlement of his administration account on the Personal Estate of the
said deceased, that there was a balance of one hundred and seventy six Dollars
and forty one Cents in this hands which appears by the certificate of the
Court, that Since the said Settlement Debts to the amount of about seven
thousand Dollars have come to his knowledge (a schedule whereof is thereto
annexed) for the payment whereof he had no assets, that the Intestate at the
time of his death was seised in his Demesne as of fee, of and in a Tract of
Clear land situate in the Township of Lampiter aforesaid, containing about
eighty three acres and one hundred and thirty perches, and also Fourteen Acres
and forty three perches of wood land situate in Leacock Township, and also the
undivided third part of about one hundred and eight Acres of Land situate in
Drumore Township aforesaid, The Petitioner therefore prayed the Court to make
an Order impowering him to sell and convey the Premises aforesaid with the
appurtenances to pay the said Debts and Maintain and Educate the Minor
Children of the said deceased, Whereupon it was ordered by the said Court that
the said Petitioner should expose the said Premises to sale by way of Public
vendue or outcry on Friday the Eighteenth day of December (then) next, that
notice thereof should be given according to Law, and that he should make
report of his Proceedings to the (then) next Court, In Pursuance of which said
order the said Christian Hartman (after due and legal notice by him given of
the time and place of sale) did expose the Premises aforesaid to sale by way
of Public Vendue, And sold the said one undivided third part of the said Tract
or Parcel of Land situate Drumore Township aforesaid to the said Henry Musser
(party hereto) at and for the sum of two hundred and sixty seven dollars
lawful money of the United States, that being the highest sum bid and he the
said Henry Musser being the highest and best Bidder at the said sale for the
same, which sale at an Orphans Court held at Lancaster in and for the said
County of Lancaster one the Twenty sixth day of December last past was
approved of and confirmed by the said Court and ordered to be and remain firm
and stable forever, as in and by the records and proceedings of the said Court
reference to them being had will appear. Now this Indenture witnesseth that
the said Christian Hartman Administrator as aforesaid for and in consideration
of the said Sum of two hundred and sixty seven dollars lawful money of the
United States to him well and truly in hand paid by the said Henry Musser at
or before the sealing and Delivery hereof (the receipt and payment whereof he
doth hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit release and discharge the said
Henry Musser his heirs executors and administrators by these presents) hath
granted bargained sold aliened enfoeffed released and confirmed and by these
Presents Doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the
said Henry Musser his heirs and assigns the one equal undivided third part of
in to and out of all that certain tract or Parcel of land above mentioned
situate and being in the said Township of Drumore in the County of Lancaster
aforesaid bounded and described as follows, to wit, Beginning at a post a
Corner of Lands of Michael John and George Withers and from thence extending
by lands of James Cummins South eighty one degrees and a half west fifty three
perches and seven tenths to a post south ten degrees and a quarter west sixty
one perches to a post a corner of land of the widow Mcfarland thence by the
said Widow McFarland's land and Land of the Widow Raub respectively North
sixty eight degrees West sixty seven perches to a black oak north forty six
degrees and a quarter West sixty seven perches and six tenths to a chestnut
north thirty four degrees and a quarter west twenty three perches to a
chestnut and north eight degrees east thirty one perches to a hickory stump a
corner of land of John Henry and Abraham Landis thence by the same the four
courses and distance next following to wit, North eighty four degrees East
thirty perches to a post, north forty five degrees and a half East forty
perches to a chestnut, north seven degrees and a half East eighty three
perches and eight tenths to a Black oak and north twenty three degrees and a
quarter East twenty one perches and two tenths to a poplar a corner of the
said Michael John and George Withers land and thence by the same the following
courses and distance viz South thirty degrees and a quarter East fifty three
perches and two tenths to a hickory South eleven degrees West Seventy one
perches to a chestnut south forty nine degrees and a half East seventy four
perches to a heap or pile of stones, thence North twenty three degrees East
about twelve perches to a post, North seventy two degrees East about twenty
one perches to a post and South twenty four degrees and three quarters East
about forty seven perches and two tenths to the place of Beginning, Containing
one hundred and fifteen Acres and an half neat measure, It being composed and
made up of two certain Tracts Pieces or Parcels of Land one of them Containing
eighty three Acres and allowance which the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by
patent or Grant bearing date the eighth day of December in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine (enrolled in patent Book H vol 1 page
668) for the consideration therein mentioned did give grant and confirm unto
the above named Jacob Musser Henry Musser and a certain John Landis in fee,
and the other of them containing by estimation Twenty five Acres which John
Landis and Ann his Wife Henry Landis and Mary his Wife and Abraham Landis and
Ann his wife by Indenture dated the fifteenth day of December one thousand
eight hundred and nine for the Consideration therein mentioned did grant and
confirm unto the said Jacob Musser Henry Musser and John Landis in fee as in
and by the said recited Patent and Indenture reference to them respectively
being had appears, Together with a like third part of all and Singular the
Houses out houses edifices and Buildings thereon erected and being and of all
ways waters water courses woods underwoods trees fences meadows orchards
gardens liberties Privileges advantages Hereditaments and Appurtenances
whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions
and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the Estate right
title Interest use Trust Property claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said
Jacob Musser at and immediately before his Death at Law and in Equity or
otherwise howsoever of in to and out of the same Premises and every or any
part thereof, To Have and to hold the said one equal third part undivided of
in to and out of the said within described Tract or parcel of Land
hereditaments and Premises hereby granted and released (or mentioned or
intended so to be) with the Appurtenances unto the said Henry Musser his Heirs
and Assigns to the only proper use Benefit and Behoof of the said Henry Musser
his Heirs and Assigns forever. In Witness whereof the said parties to these

sixth part of in to and out of the said Tract or parcel of Land containing One
hundred and fifteen Acres and one half of an Acre neat Measure, hereditaments
and premises hereby granted and released (or mentioned or intended so to be)
with the appurtenances unto the said John Landis his heirs and assigns to the
only proper use and behoof of the said John Landis his heirs and assigns
