1810: living in District 6, Allegany Co, MD. One male age 26-44 [WTM: Isaac],
one female age under 10 [WTM: dau Eliza], and one female age 16-25 [WTM: wife
Sarah] [Ref: 1810 MD Allegany District6 06, Smith WARD-WesternMD p23]
1811: remained on his father's farm in Maryland (when rest of family moved to
Ohio); his father gave him the remainder of his Maryland property by will
written in 1834 [Ref: Chris Bailey 11/14/2004]
Oct 1829: on jury in a famous Allegany County murder case. Gearge Swearingen,
the Sheriff of Washington County was tried and convicted ofmurdering his wife
Mary (Scott) Swearingen, and was hanged at Cumberland MD in Oct 1829. John
Twig (who later married Isaac's widow Sarah) was also on the jury [Ref: Chris

will dated Apr 28 1840, pro May 25 1840. Left his real estate and four slaves
(Nancy, John, Nelson, and Massa) to wife Sarah. Left three remaining slaves
(Susana, Harriet, and Rebecca) to his daughter Eliza. Witnessed by John F
Stallings, who later married his daughter [Ref: Chris Bailey 11/14/2004, Smith
