Research Notes:
Jane Briggs was daughter of Capt. Samuel BRIGGS and Sarah LOGAN, and a niece of Gen. Benjamin and John Logan. It is a tradition in the Todd family that Jane Briggs wove her wedding garmet from a weed known as wild cotton. [Ref: Helm TODD p89]
