Her will was proved November 24, 1817 in Derry Township, Westmoreland Co, PA.
Her will dated March 20, 1817:
In the name of God and in the hope of eternal life for Christ sake I Ann
Todd of Derry Township and Westmoreland County, State of Pennsylvania, being
weak and sickly in body, but enjoying sound mind and memory consider it to be
my duty to settle my worldly affairs by making my last will and testament
which I do in manner and form following:
First I will and allow all my debts and funeral expenses to be paid first.
Secondly I allow all the remainder of the money that is due me, or to become
due to me out of the estate of my deceased husband William Todd to be divided
into eight equal shares; one share or eighth part of which I will and bequeath
to my grandson William Todd, and one other eighth part I also will and
bequeath to my six grandchildren to wit: George, William, David, James, Ann,
and Isabelle Mathews. I also will and bequeath another eighth part to my two
grandchildren Nancy Carnehan and Mary Smith. I also will and bequeath to each
of my daughters now alive to wit, Mary Baldridge, Nancy Clark, Rebecca Sloan,
Rachel Latts and Loas Armstrong one eighth part of share. I also will and
bequeath to my daughter Mary Baldrige my bed, bed clothes and bedstand and
trunk, the rest of my clothes to be divided between the rest of my daughters
now alive.
Thirdly I hereby constitute and appoint my friend Joseph Clark and Joseph
Baldrige the sole executors of this my last will and testament with full power
to pay the money assigned to my grandchildren when they come of age or sooner
if my executors think proper.
Signed sealed pronounced and declared to be my last will and testament this
twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventeen as witness my hand and seal.
