Research Notes:
served in the Mexican War of 1812. He was so young he may have been a drummer boy, but he was called Major - we don't know if it was just a title of respect given him by some who knew and like him, or whether he was entitled to it. [Ref: Johnson TODD]

In 1856 they moved with their teen age children to Darlington, Lafayette Co, Wisconsin and farmed the alnd for a living. [Ref: Johnson TODD]
