This Indenture made this Eighteenth day of September in the Year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and nineteen Between Anthony Bowsher and Christina
Bowsher his wife of the County of Pickaway and State of Ohio of the one part
and Peter Bowsher Henry Bowsher and Jacob Bowsher of the County of Pickaway
and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Anthony
Bowsher and Christina Bowsher for and in consideration of the sum of Five
hundred dollars current money of the United States of America to them in hand
paid the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and
discharge the said John Bowsher Henry Bowsher and Jacob Bowsher their heirs
executors and administrators, have granted bargained sold aliened and
confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, and confirm
unto the said Peter Bowsher, Henry Bowsher, and Jacob Bowsher their heirs and
assigns forever all that tract of parcel of land lying and being in the County
of Pickaway and state aforesaid viz, Beginning at the North westerly corner of
William and Anthony Bowshers land in fractional Section Number two in Township
Number four in Range number twenty two (Worthington's Survey) running West
fifty four poles to the Scioto River whence corner to said fractional Section
thence down the same South nineteen degrees East forty six poles thence South
twenty six degrees Ease nineteen poles to a Hickery fifteen inches in diameter
thence North seventy four degrees East seventy poles to a Mulberry thence
North forty three degrees west fifty four poles to the beginning Containing
twenty and eighty four hundredths acres, The above described land was conveyed
by the President of the United States by a Patent bearing date April 30th A.D.
1813, Together with all improvements water courses profits and appurtenances
whatsoever to the said premises belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the
reversions remainders and profits thereof and all the Estate rights Title
interest probate and claim and demand of them the said Anthony Bowsher and
Christina Bowsher in of and to the same, To Have and to Hold the lands hereby
conveyed with all and singular the premises and every part and parcel thereof
with every of the appurtenances unto the said Peter Bowsher, Henry Bowsher and
Jacob Bowsher their heirs and assigns forever, to the only proper use and
behoof of them the said Peter Bowsher Henry Bowsher and Jacob Bowsher their
heirs and assigns forever, And the said Anthony Bowsher and Christina Bowsher
for their heirs executors and administrators do covenant promise and agree to
and with the said Peter Bowsher Henry Bowsher and Jacob Bowsher their heirs
and Assigns by these presents that the premises before mentioned now and
forever hereafter Shall remain free of and from all former and other gifts
grants bargains sales dowers right and title of dower judgements executions
titles troubles charges and encumbrances whatsoever done or settled to be done
by them the said Anthony Bowsher and Christine Bowsher and their heirs all and
singular the premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto
the said Peter Bowsher Henry Bowsher and Jacob Bowsher their heirs and assigns
against them the said Anthony Bowsher and Christine Bowsher and their heirs
and all and every other person or persons whatsoever doth and will warrant and
forever defend by these presents. In Testimony whereof the said Anthony

acknowledged that he did voluntarily sign and deliver the within Indenture to
be his voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and desired

Bowsher his wife of the County of Pickaway and State of Ohio of the one part
and Henry Bowsher of the County of Pickaway and State aforesaid of the other

the bank of the Scioto River, thence down said river with the meanderings
thereby to the Northwest corner of said Daniel Bowsher's land thence east
three hundred and two poles to the beginning, containing seventy three acres,
The above described land was conveyed by the President of the United States to
the said Anthony Bowsher by patent bearing date April 30th A.D. 1813, To Have
and to hold the above described premises with all the privileges and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the
said Henry Bowsher and unto his heirs and assigns forever, And the said
Anthony Bowsher and Christina Bowsher for their heirs executors and
administrators do covenant and promise to and with the said Henry Bowsher his
heirs and Assigns that they are lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid,
they they have good right to convey the same in manner aforesaid, and that the
said premises are free from all incumbrances, And further that they, the said
Anthony Bowsher and Christine Bowsher his wife their heirs executors and
administrators will well warrant and truly defend the premises aforesaid, unto
the said Henry Bowsher and unto his heirs and assigns forever against the

To all to whom these presents Shall come Greeting. Whereas on the Seventh
day of August A.D. 1856 a certain petition was filed in the Probate Court of
Pickaway County Ohio praying for the Sale of Real Estate in which petition
John Grace as guardian of Emanuel Bousher, Catharine Bousher, and Hatty Ann
Bousher was Petitioner and his said wards defendants the said John Grace as
Guardian of his said wards was ordered to sell at public auction certain real
estate of said wards hereinafter described and whereas the said Guardian
having duly advertised Said real estate did on the twenty ninth day of
December A.D. 1856 Sell the Same at public auction to Anthony Bousher for the
sum of two hundred and ninety two dollars and eighty four cents which Sale was
afterwards on the twenty ninth day of December A.D. 1856 Confirmed by Said
Court and said Guardian ordered to Execute and deliver a deed and fee Simple
to said Anthony Bowsher for the premises so sold all of which will more fully
appear reference being had to the records of said Court, And therefore I John
Grace as Guardian of the aforesaid Emanuel Bowsher, Catharine Bowsher and
Hetty Ann Bowsher in consideration of these presents and by virtue of the
power in me vested by law do by these presents grant bargain alien and convey
to the said Anthony Bowsher his heirs and assigns forever the said tenements
sold as aforesaid and which are bounded and described as follows, a part of
Fractional Section number two in Fractional Township number four Range twenty
two Beginning at a forked mulberry lower corner on the Scioto to the line of G
Ward thence with his line N 61 E 62 poles to a post thence ?> E 22 poles to
a hackberry thence S 69 W 66 poles to a Shel bark Hickory on the bank of the
river thence up the river N 28 W 13 1/2 poles to the beginning containing six
acres and 149 poles of land with all and singular the appurtenances to Have
and to hold the said premises to him the said Anthony Bowsher and to his heirs
and assigns forever. In Testimony whereof I as Guardian as aforesaid do
hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th day of July 1857. John Grace
