name is characteristic of princes of the XXII dynasty, and probably originated from a branch of that dynasty. Chronologically more likely to be a grandson of Sheshonq III than a son [Ref: Settipani LGA p163]

possibly married to a princess of Libya [Ref: Settipani LGA p163]

succeeded a Prince Pami as Chief of Ma, who was the successor of Sheshonq III [Ref: Settipani LGA p162]

parentage of prince Osorkon is unknown, though Pimay is a reasonable guess. [Ref: Chris Bennett SGM 10/23/1995]
