Mrs. McBurney Dies; Funeral To Be Tuesday
Mrs. Grace McBurney, 79, died Sunday at a local hospital. Services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Shaw-Messer Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Smith officiating.
Mrs. H. M. Haywood will be the organist. Pallbearers will be Glen Heaton, Arthur Pinholt, David Olson, Roy Uthe, H. M. Haywood and Leslie Jenkins. Burial will be in Mt. Hope. There will be no visitation. The family prefers memorials.
Mrs. McBurney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McBath, was born March 14, 1892, in Watertown. She was graduated from Watertown High School.
She married Ernest C. McBurney who died several years ago.
She was employed as a clerk in various business places in Watertown, and was a former member of the Eastern Star.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four brothers, Earl and Wilbur, both of Watertown, Harry of Salem, Ore., and Roy of Virginia, Minn. [Ref: Margot Dudewicz 7/28/2005]
