Dec 31 1850: moved to Fitchburg, MA [Ref: Kingsbury MARSHALL p42]

Aug 1862: enlisted in Co. D, 53rd Reg. Mass Vol, under Capt Jonas Corey and Col John W Kimball. Served in the engineering corps, bridge building and other engineering work on the Mississippi river and in Florida. Discharged at Camp Stephens, Ayer Junction, Mass, Aug 1863 [Ref: Kingsbury MARSHALL p42]

1902: went to live with son Henry [Ref: Kingsbury MARSHALL p42]

1904: went to live with brother Joseph, at Marshall's Corner, Westminster, MA [Ref: Kingsbury MARSHALL p42]

death due to Pneumonia, while on a visit to his son Fred, in Fitzwilliam, NH [Ref: Kingsbury MARSHALL p42]
