Research Notes:
soon after the settlement of the boundary of Mass and NH, Benjamin Hoyt signed the petition of those who "did belong to the Easterly part of Salisbury," showing that they did not wish to be joined to township to be formed of the westerly part of Salisbury and a part of Amesbury,a s they were six miles from the meeting house, and requesting to be joine to Hampton Falls. In the charter of South Hampton (May 25 1742) "the lands, estates & polls" of Jonathan Hoit and Benj, Hoit were excepted, and thereby "annexed to Hampton Falls." [Ref: HoytDW HOYT p36]

1743: "Benjamin Hoyt Jun, formerly of Salsbury, now of S. Hampton," deeds homestead to Richard Long [Ref: HoytDW HOYT p36]

1745/6: deed from Richard Long to Mary Hoyt, widow of Benj., of S. Hampton [Ref: HoytDW HOYT p36]
