in the Curis Regis Rolls 1225-26 for Sussex, she is identified as Countess of Eu (widow of Raoul I de Lusignan, Count of Eu), evidently by a mistranslation of Latin to French [Ref: Smith ECHYNGHAM p12]

only Stuart Hall in his book _Echyngham of Echyngham_ has listed Alice Fitz Reinfreid as wife of Simon Echyngham. Proof of this marriage is lacking [Ref: Smith ECHYNGHAM p13]
