Research Notes:
graduated M.D. at the Pennsylvania Medical College in 1857, and practiced his profession at Boyertown, PA, u ntil 1868 when he moved to Pottstown. He is a member of the Lutheran Church. In politics he is a Democrat, and he was a Democratic candidate for Congress in 1874. He was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention of 1896. [Ref: Helm TODD p376]
