Research Notes:
accompanied the expedition of Col. William Russell agains the Kickapoo towns on the Illinois River in 1812, and was shot on the 11th of October. The ball was never extracted and, it is believed, hastened his death. He was a lawyer and practiced his profession in Warren Co, OH, and at Miamisburg. [Ref: Helm TODD p268]
