Lord of Prendergast, co Pembroke [Ref: Burke Peerage p853]

one of the Norman knights who united with Strongbow, Earl of Pembroke, inthe invasion of Ireland. he landed in May 1169, took part in the successful war which followed, and obtained an ample share of the conquered lands [Ref: Burke Peerage p853]

1177: gave his castle of Prendergast to the Knights of St John of Jerusalem, and eventually joined that order [Ref: Burke Peerage p853]
