Research Notes:
Fred L. Head, a native of the village where he spent his youth, and a resident of Columbus for maore than 40 years, died at White Cross hospital, Sunday. A retired clerk on the B. and O. Railway, he was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Head was a member of an old McConnelsville family, his father being Frank Head, who for many years employed as cigar roller at the Cochran Bros. Shop. His mother was Cora Head and his wife, a former McConnelsville girl, survives was Helen M. Funk, Harold " Smoker " Head of Windham and Francis Head of Cambridge, brothers and a son, Robert, lives in Columbus. There are four grandchildren. He was a member of Indianola Church of Christ. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at Southwick Funeral Home, Columbus, with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus. [Ref: Paula Watts 4/10/2008]
