Research Notes:
educated under his father, and afterwards studied divinity and was licensed to preach by the Hanover Presbytery. He preached his first sermon in the Cove Church in 1800, where his father preached his last in 1793. [Ref: Helm TODD p81]

Having inherited lands at the Falls of the Ohio, he moved to Kentucky in 1809 [Ref: Helm TODD p81]
