1086: Domesday tenant-in-chief [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p142]

nephew of the pre-Conquest Norman Osbern Pentecost; in 1122 Henry I confirmed ro Bec, inter alia, the tenure of Ralph Pentecost at 'Renelrnivilla', Lamberville (Seine-Maritime) and Funichon (Calvados) [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p142]

by 1100: much of Alfred's holding passed to Harold of Ewyas; Harold was a minor in 1086 and Alfred was probably then acting as guardian. It has been said that Alfred's daughter Agnes, a widow in 1086, married secondly Harold of Ewyas Harold, but there is no direct evidence for the suggestion [Ref: Keats-Rohan DP p142]
