became a nun (as Eupraxia) shortly after her husband's death [Ref: Thompson CharlesII v22-187]

Baumgarten 2::84 Table XV (Riazan) does not identify her family, naming her only as "Euphrosine N.N." At 2:108 Baumgarten raises the possibility that she was the daughter of Olgiert of Lithuania. ES 2:134 (Rjasan) identifies her as a daughter of Yuri Sviatoslav, Grand Prince of Smolensk. At 138 (Smolensk) ES identifes Yuri Sviatoslav's wife as a daughter of Oleg Ivanovich, and then gives their daughter as the wife of Oleg Ivanovich. One of these connections is incorrect. Baumgarten 2:106 Table XVIII (Smolensk) shows Yuri Sviatoslav's wife as a daughter of Oleg [Ivanovich] of Tiazan, but does not show any daughter for them who married Oleg. Decker-Hauff, at 124, identifies Euphrosyne as daughter of Olgierd of Lithuania, and gives his reasoning at 126-127. Whether Euphrosyne is identified as the daughter of Algirdus (Olgierd) of Lithuania, or of Yuri Sviatoslav (son Sviatoslav Ivanovich of Smolensk) there are chronological problems. Based on the available evidence, a determination between these two solutions has not been made. [Ref: Thompson CharlesII v22-187(330)]
