Research Notes:
according to Sir William Fraser, _Memorials ..._, he married "a daughter of William, first Earl of Douglas, and his wife Margaret, daughter of the Earl of Dunbar and March" but William Earl of Douglas had no such wife nor daughter, the name of Alexander's wife is unknown [Ref: SP III p427]
