faithful ally of Archibald, fourth Earl of Douglas, and is said to have been taken prisoner with him at the battle of Homildon, 14 Sep 1402 [Ref: SP IV p444]

Feb 1423/4: accompanied the Earl of Douglas on his expedition to France, and with him fell at the battle of Verneuil 17 Aug 1424. [Ref: SP IV p445]
