1234: claimed that Margery had more in dower of his inheritance in Lew, Witney Parish, co Oxford than she should. She replied that the land was not in dower but a feoffment of her husband made during the reign of King John. The parties afterwards reached agreement. [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p15]
