Research Notes:
1261/2: claimed Wahull from his cousin Walter de Wahull. e asserted that his father Simon was son of Michael, the second of three brothers, Simon, Michael, and Walter, and that the last named was the defendant's ancestor. He claimed that his grandfather Michael was uncle of Agnes, mother of John and matilda, and that he was the latter's heir. The jury ruled against him, finding the order of births to be Simon, Walter, Michael. [Ref: Hansen Wodhull p14]
