confirmed a grant of his brother to Bridlington priory [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p883]

Robert's family is often confused with the family holding of the honour of Thoresway at Goxhill in Lindsey. While some relationship may have been developed during the twelfth century - the families were close neighbors - they must be carefully distinguished. EYC and Foulds were led badly astray by K.Major, and are unreliable and have led to an impenetrable muddle [Ref: Keats-Rohan DD p883]
